HARVEST (SEPTEMBER - OCTOBER)

It’s the Superbowl, the show—the most important time of year for our wine industry. With their purple fingernails and exhausted smiles, our winemakers join a tradition that goes back thousands of years: turning each year’s beautiful crop of fruit, carefully tended for months by our dedicated vineyard crews, into wine that tells the story of its place and time.

During Harvest we offer you a glimpse of our crews navigating new and sometimes strange pandemic-era precautions, along with the same pump-up jams, long days, Mount Hood views, sore muscles and pure magic that make each Willamette Valley vintage remarkable. But we bet you’ll want to come to wine country to experience for yourself our spectacular fall weather, bountiful wine events and the excitement of the season that makes everything we do worth celebrating. THE GIVING SEASON (NOVEMBER - DECEMBER)

Between the breathless rush of harvest and the calm of Cellar Season, we welcome the festive energy of the holidays—and with them a chance to step back, appreciate the beauty and camaraderie around us, and give back to the communities we call home. If you love Willamette Valley wine, you too are a part of that community, and the Giving Season is our chance to express our gratitude. 

The Giving Season combines Wine Country Thanksgiving, Willamette Cares Food Share, and the holidays. Our wineries and wine country businesses each present a gift to our community in the form of a donation to the Oregon Food Bank Network. They also select a special gift for you, to show our appreciation for Willamette Valley wine lovers everywhere.

CELLAR SEASON (JANUARY-MARCH)

Take a breath. Feel the stillness. Our vines, having released their brilliant leaves, are sleeping peacefully. Our young wines, just harvested, are beginning their slow transformation in barrel. The promise of the vintage is now safely in the hands of our winemakers. Welcome to Willamette Valley wine country's coziest time of year.

The glow of heaters and crackling fireplaces from winery porches in the misty air invites us to embrace the joys of this special season: the hushed thrill of that first taste of the year's newest wine releases. The comfort of seasonal food and wine pairings, enjoyed with a stunning backdrop of fir trees and rising fog. The chance to share this moment with the talented makers who can finally catch their breath, too, and embrace a moment of calm. Join us outside for the Cellar Season.

IN BLOOM (APRIL-JUNE)

It’s springtime in wine country! With our long-running Memorial Weekend in Wine Country celebration and Oregon Wine Month in May, our wineries open their doors to welcome the return of vibrant colors to our landscape and the first chapter in the story of the next vintage. We also kick off the summer tourism season, basking in dry, warm, sunny weather that brings everyone outside. This is the time for exciting new white wine and rosé releases, soft buds emerging on the vines, the scent of flowers everywhere and the joy that comes with a fresh start.
