CELLAR SEASON
HOW TO GET THE MOST FROM THE #OREGONWINEMONTH MARKETING EFFORTS
We celebrate Willamette Valley wine all year round, but especially during Oregon Wine Month, when the entire state joins in commemoration of our beloved industry for the month of May, offering special activities and promotions for the enjoyment of Oregon wine!
There is no cost for members to participate in The Cellar Season marketing promotion. Simply submit your events and special offers and they will automatically be included in our promotions via the website, email marketing, and social media.
There are multiple ways to participate in this campaign. The more content you post, the more visitors you will have to your WVWA listing and your website. You can track your traffic on WV Portal under My Benefits.
Please contact Director of Membership & Partnerships, Julie Dalrymple, with any questions.

Use #wvcellarseason and @wvwines in posts on your social channels so that we can re-share and add them to our social streams. (Reminder: You must tag us @wvwines in your instagram stories for us to be able to share them!) The hashtag #wvwines is always ongoing, so use that, too.
We are especially seeking high-quality photos that depict cozy fireplaces and comfy, indoor spaces. Send Julie your high-quality original (not linked from Instagram) photos. Remember that authenticity is the key to great social media. Be yourself and speak for yourself. -
MARCH IS LOCALS MONTH!
We have a new category for special offers called Perks for Locals! We encourage you to have fun with this and come up with a creative or quirky special offer for people who live in Oregon—a surprise pour included in a tasting flight, random discount, locals' day, etc. Post it to WV Portal and tag “Perks for Locals” as the category.
We'll promote PERKS FOR LOCALS in all email campaigns throughout the month of March, so it's best to correspond your locals offers with this time period.
Submit your offers through the WV Member Portal.
SPECIAL OFFERS: Select Collateral > Special Offers.
Of course, any and all special offers are welcome (and encouraged) so don't be afraid to create more than one!
-
Submit your events through the WV Member Portal.
EVENTS: Select Collateral > Calendar of Events, and select all applicable categories, including "Cellar Season". We access your listing and event postings to populate email campaigns and social media platforms with up-do-date happenings.
-
Our audience can't get enough of your recipes. Submit your text-format recipe via this form. Please include a wine pairing so we can link directly the shop page of your website, making it easy for consumers to purchase. In a perfect world, we'd love to have a hi-res picture of the finished product but if you don't have a high quality pic, don't sweat it! We will access our stock image library and include a photo of one of the main ingredients.
CELLAR SEASON EMAIL MARKETING CALENDAR
It's a good idea to anticipate the upcoming campaign and make sure your WVWA website profile is consistently up-to-date the week prior to the send date. Call-to-action links are included in each outgoing campaign and lead to curated listing pages that speak to specific email content. Updated profiles are statistically more likely to get "clicks" and "likes". Maintaining your business profile means increased traffic for your website and business.
