As part of our efforts to support the larger community that comprises Oregon wine country, in 2021 the Willamette Valley Wineries Association raised $100,000 to fund the build of a new home for a local family in partnership with the McMinnville affiliate of Habitat for Humanity. CELEBRATING HISPANIC ROOTS

The Willamette Valley Wineries Association proudly sponsored Celebrating Hispanic Roots, formed by a small group of Oregon winery owners and winemakers who share a Hispanic background and came together to celebrate Hispanic Heritage Month from September 15th to October 15th, 2021. Participating wineries shared their stories, displayed the diversity of the Hispanic cultures which span most of Latin America and Spain, and as small business owners gave back to the Spanish-speaking community in Oregon. Ten percent of ticket and bottle sales was donated to Adelante Mujeres Empresas Small Business Development Program that teaches and supports small business owners to create a vibrant local economy and open up opportunities for all individuals to pursue their dreams.
