APRIL 1 - JULY 31
MAY IN WINE COUNTRY - OREGON WINE MONTH - HIGH SEASON KICKOFF
How to get the most from the #wvinbloom marketing efforts.
Willamette Valley In Bloom is the opening of Wine Country's high season and all it brings: outdoor events, vineyard tours, themed dinners, specialty tastings and more.
There is no cost for members to participate in the Willamette Valley In Bloom marketing promotion. Simply submit your events and special offers and they will automatically be included in our promotions via the website, email marketing, and social media.
There are SIX ways to participate in this campaign. The more content you post, the more visitors you will have to your WVWA listing and your website. You can track your traffic on WV Portal under My Benefits.
Please contact Membership Manager Julie Dalrymple with any questions.

We celebrate Willamette Valley wine all year round, but especially during Oregon Wine Month, when the entire state joins in commemoration of our beloved industry for the month of May, offering special activities and promotions for the enjoyment of Oregon wine! Learn more about Oregon Wine Month here.
The WVWA is partnering with the Oregon Wine Board for its annual Oregon Wine Month consumer sweepstakes. To showcase the diversity of experiences in the Willamette Valley, the theme of the Willamette Valley sweepstakes is "Choose Your Own Adventure". The winner will select the components of their prize from the list of participating WVWA members. If you would like to be considered for inclusion by the sweepstakes winner, please register here.
The WVWA has a new partnership with the Delta Sky Club at PDX. During the month of May, every Thursday and Sunday, we will be pouring samples of Willamette Valley wines, including Pinot noir, whites and rosés to Sky Club guests. One of our Oregon Wine Month strategic priorities in 2023 is to strengthen our relationship with PDX vendors as post-pandemic air travel continues to rebound. The Delta Sky Club partnership provides more access and personal connections with affluent, frequent travelers.

Use #wvinbloom, #mayinwinecountry, #oregonwinemonth and @wvwines in posts on your social channels so that we can re-share and add them to our social streams. (Reminder: You must tag us @wvwines in your instagram stories for us to be able to share them!) The hashtag #wvwines is always ongoing, so use that, too.
We are especially seeking high-quality photos that depict outdoor action: vineyard walks, outdoor events, picnics, and spring growth among the vines. Send Julie your high-quality original (not linked from Instagram) photos. Remember that authenticity is the key to great social media. Be yourself and speak for yourself.
-
One of our most popular features, Winemaker Moms and Winemaker Dads interviews speak directly to the challenges and joys of managing a family in the wine industry. If you'd like to be featured, contact Julie for interview questions.
PSST! We'd love to include a picture of you with your kiddos if you're willing to share!

EXTENDED! PERKS FOR LOCALS
We have a new category for special offers called Perks for Locals! Submit your offers through the WV Member Portal.
SPECIAL OFFERS: Select Collateral > Special Offers.
Of course, any and all special offers are welcome (and encouraged) so don't be afraid to create more than one!
-
Submit your events and special offers through the WV Member Portal.
EVENTS: Select Collateral > Calendar of Events, and select all applicable categories, including "In Bloom".
SPECIAL OFFERS: Select Collateral > Special Offers.
Be sure to tag your special offers and events for "May in Wine Country," WVWA's targeted campaign for the month of May.

Our audience can't get enough of your recipes. Send a recipe (please send the text if possible, rather than a pdf or screenshot) and a high-quality original photo to Julie, ideally with a wine pairing and a brief explanation of how this dish came about or why you like it.
PSST! If you don't have a high quality pic, don't sweat it! We will access our stock image library and include a photo of one of the main ingredients.
