• Building healthy soil with practices such as cover cropping
• Protecting streams, rivers, and wetlands from agricultural impacts
• Creating habitat for pollinators and other beneficial insects
• Supporting biodiversity through bird habitat and native vegetation
• Using grazing animals in vineyards to enhance soil and reduce carbon footprint
• Reducing reliance on pesticides through integrated pest management
• Protecting and restoring habitat around vineyard properties

One certification you may spot is LIVE Certified. LIVE-certified vineyards meet Salmon-Safe and Bee Friendly Farming standards, helping protect waterways and fish habitat while supporting bees and other pollinators. As part of the Bee Friendly Farming standards, certified growers dedicate at least 3% of their farm acreage to pollinator forage, providing floral resources for native bees and other pollinators.
