Annual Events
The Willamette Valley’s calendar year is normally chock-full of events for every taste and season. Due to the COVID-19 pandemic, these events were postponed or reimagined in 2020–2021, but they’ll be back as soon as they can be held safely! Here are the biggest events throughout a typical year in the Willamette Valley:
Oregon Truffle Festival
In January and February, Oregon chefs, mycologists, and foodies come together over several weekends to celebrate one of the state’s greatest natural treasures: the mysterious and decadent truffle mushroom. Learn more.
May in Wine Country
With our long-running Memorial Weekend in Wine Country celebration (virtual for the first time in 2020 and expanded to the full month of May in 2021), our wineries open their doors to welcome the return of vibrant colors to our landscape and the debut of the next growing season with new releases and special events. International Pinot Noir Celebration
The International Pinot Noir Celebration (IPNC) is a three-day event, famous around the globe, as a mecca for lovers of Pinot noir and northwest cuisine. During the weekend, world-renowned winemakers, northwest chefs, esteemed media, epicures, and wine lovers will gather in McMinnville, Oregon, for three days of exploring Pinot noir, savoring unforgettable meals, and learning and celebrating with luminaries of the food and wine world. Pinot in the City
Experience the Willamette Valley at one of our roadshow events. Twice each year, our winemakers and owners travel to pour their wines and tell their stories in cities around the United States. We’ve come to New York, San Francisco, Chicago, Denver, Boston, Seattle, Los Angeles, Dallas, Austin and Houston, and as soon as it’s safe to conduct on-the-road events again, we just might turn up in your city!
The Giving Season and Wine Country Thanksgiving
Thirty-eight years ago, fewer than a dozen wineries started the Wine Country Thanksgiving tradition. Now, wineries throughout the Willamette Valley open their cellars and tasting rooms for special events during the Thanksgiving Weekend to celebrate friends, family and the completion of harvest. Wine Country Thanksgiving is part of The Giving Season (late October through December 31), in which wineries offer events and special deals or gift guides while raising funds for the Oregon Food Banks Network as part of Willamette Cares Food Share.
Join us for this unique Oregon tradition to kick off the holiday season as wineries throughout the Willamette Valley offer special tastings, food pairings, live music, holiday discounts and more. Each winery celebrates the festive weekend with its own flare while ensuring all members of our community have food on their table during the holiday season. Learn more.
