Jerry Murray is a winemaker in Oregon's Willamette Valley whose breadth of life experience, philosophical tendencies, and exceptional reverence for nature and the land make his point of view a valuable and calming voice among the noise of an otherwise harried world and industry. Harvests in New Zealand and Germany's Mosel Valley were key in shaping his study of wine and prepared him to lead winemaking at Patton Valley Vineyards, Van Duzer Vineyards, and as the winemaker for Louis Roderer's California project, Domaine Anderson. Learning that winemakers, like vines, have climates and soils they are best suited to, Jerry and his family returned home to the Willamette Valley and launched PROJECT M to make world-class Chardonnay, Riesling, and Pinot Noir. He also owns élevage consulting, providing advising and custom winemaking services to clients in the Pacific Northwest.
