MAY IN WINE COUNTRY
MAY 1- MAY 31
This is the time for exciting new white wine and rosé releases, soft buds emerging on the vines, the scent of flowers everywhere, and warm, sunny weather that brings everyone outside. It being Oregon Wine Month also adds another layer to the excitement with special events. Both Memorial Day weekend and the weekends leading up to it are especially lively, with extended hours, live music, and celebratory tastings–we’ll share more on that later in the blog.
Mother's Day is another highlight of the month, filled with brunches, tastings, and thoughtful ways to celebrate the moms and mother figures in your life. We’ve rounded up a selection of those events below as well.
OUTDOOR ACTIVITIES
Wine experiences are expanding beyond tasting room walls and into the outdoors, with vineyard hikes, wine tasting among the flowers, and open patios. In addition to these events, many wineries bring out their lawn games for the season (weather permitting). We recommend giving wineries a call beforehand to check whether they have them out.
